Homosexuality
Islam is clear in its prohibition of homosexual acts. Islamic scholars cite these reasons for condemning homosexuality, based on teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah: • It clashes with the "natural" order in which God created human beings • It brings destruction of the family and the institutions of marriage • It leads people to ignore God's guidance in other areas of life Masturbation In islam masturbation is unlawful and it is presented in the Quran with the following verse 'And those who guard their private parts from their wives and those which their right-hands own. Then whoever seeks beyond that (which is lawful), they are the transgressors. Adultery Adultery in Islam is one of the most despicable and deadliest of sins. Its extreme scale can understood by the fact that it has often been combined in the Qur’an with the gravest of all sins: the association of partners with Allah. It is considered to be a large scale sin due to its direct consequences affecting individuals, families, and societies. The result of committing adultery gradually erodes the trust and peace which are foundations of a fulfilling family life, it damages the purity of ones soul hence destroys one's faith. |
Rape
Rape is completely forbidden in Islam.Islam takes very seriously the honour and protection of women/girls. Regarding rape Islam looks down with disgrace on all kinds of crimes, including of course sexual crimes. Rape, being a combination of several kinds of crimes wrapped in one name is therefore, one of the worst. God in the Quran , condemns all the elements that refer to the crime of rape such as sex, violence, and oppression.God strongly disapproves of any kind of sexual relationships out side of marriage. Contraception Islam is strongly regards children as a gift from God and within Islam sex outside marriage is prohibited, so its teachings of birth control should be understood within the context of husband and wife. There is no single view on contraception within Islam. The Quran does not refer to contraception specifically, muslims that oppose beth control refer to the quote in the Quran "You should not kill your children for fear of want" (17:31, 6:151) and interpret this as contraception being prohibited and those who support the concept of birth control argue that this interpretation is wrong. There are various hadiths that indicate the Prophet saw aware of birth control and approved of it in appropriate circumstances. Hadith are said to describe and approve of the withdrawal method but scholars state that is method may deprive the woman of both sexual fulfilment and of having children, and so should not be used without the woman's agreement. Scholars have argued that any method that has the purpose of preventing conception is acceptable as long as it is not on a permanent basis. Regarding Birth control pills a woman should not use them unless the following conditions are met~ 1- She should need to use them, for example if she is ill and cannot cope with a pregnancy every year, or she is physically unfit, or there is some other reason that getting pregnant every year may harm her. 2- Her husband should give his permission, because the husband has the right to have children. There must also be consultation with the doctor, to find out whether these pills are harmful or not. If these two conditions are met, there is nothing wrong with taking these pills unless on a permanent basis. |
